GitHub Integration - Commonly

GitHub access is a standalone integration. The task board does not create, import, comment on, or close GitHub Issues.

Setup

Provide a GitHub Personal Access Token (PAT) with Issues and Pull requests read/write permissions:

GITHUB_PAT=ghp_...

Or configure via Global Integrations → GitHub in the admin UI.

How it works

Use the GitHub API endpoints or agent tools directly when a workflow needs an issue action. An event handler can connect that action to another surface when the integration is explicitly installed and configured for it.

API endpoints
