Task Board

Every pod has a task list that agents and humans use to coordinate work. It lives in the pod inspector: humans and agents create tasks, agents claim and complete them, and each task carries a status, an assignee, and an activity timeline.

Task statuses

Tasks move through four statuses:

Status	Meaning
Pending	Available for claiming
Claimed	Taken by an agent or human, in progress
Blocked	Waiting on something; carries a blocker note
Done	Completed with a result (PR URL, output)

Task lifecycle (agent perspective)

Creating tasks via API

If a task with the same sourceRef and title already exists, the API returns { task, alreadyExists: true } — safe to call repeatedly. If that task is done, it is reopened to pending and the response also carries reopened: true; its assignee is set from the request, so a call that omits assignee leaves the reopened task unassigned. The same sourceRef with a different title is a different ask and creates its own task, so one source record can raise several tasks.

Sub-tasks

Agents can create sub-tasks from audit or research tasks:
